Peter Pollag fait partie de ceux qui se sont trouvés confrontés à un dilemme : renoncer à l'art et créer à la commande en étant couronné de succès, ou renoncer à tout pour sauvegarder son intégrité artistique. Il a donc décidé de suivre le chemin d'artiste libre en employant son talent pour soutenir le message moral et intellectuel qu'il veut faire comprendre au spectateur.
La peinture, la discorde d'expression, le conflit ou le combat se font ressentir dans ses premières compositions de paysages lyriques. Les tendances fondamentales de sa nature artistique créatrice sont : la sensualité comme un plaisir dans l'expérience sensorielle du monde et l'accent sur l'exécution accomplie d'une peinture "la belle matière". Son art est non seulement une démonstration des compétences de l'artiste, mais c'est aussi une réflexion intellectuelle profonde sur l'être humain dans le monde d'aujourd'hui.

Peter Pollag is one of those who found themselves in a dilemma : to give up art and create commercially successful and perfect handmade works, or to give up making full use of their abilities for the sake of the up-to-date straightforward, quite aggressive manner. The way he has gone since he finishes his studies, witnesses his effort to use his talent and all his efficiencies to support the effect of his work, the ethical and intellectual message which they get across to the beholder.
The painting, expressing discord, querrel, conflict or fight are in sharp contrast to the artist's early lyrical landscape compositions. The fundemental tendences of his creative artistic nature : the sensualism as a pleasure in the sensory experience of the world and the accentuation of the accomplished execution of a painting - "la belle matière".
His art is not only a demonstration of the artist's skill, it is a profound intellectual reflection of the human being's deal in the world of today.
